1903 was the date impressed on the face of Michael's great-grandfather's class ring, a simple low-profile band with a broad face and elegant transition. Allowing the process to guide the aesthetic, we sought to replicate the form using our primary tool kit – hammers, anvils, and rolling mills.

Great ring

Good quality and you can tell it's unique and made by a craftsperson.
It was my second piece from Studebaker and won't be my last

Good looking and understated

The ring I received has slightly less bevel (i.e. is less rounded on the edges) than the pictures and the hammer marks are more subtle. You should expect some variation in handmade jewelry. It's a really good looking and understated ring. I got this to wear on my pinky. The one pinky ring I own was my late fathers and while it has sentimental value, it's a large solid gold ring. I really like Studebaker's work and I wanted something a bit more rugged and more understated. I opted for the work patina and no engraving as I think the hammer marks provide plenty of interest and a surface that is not just flat. One thing to note: when the ring first arrived, I thought my order was mixed up because it had every appearance of patinaed silver. There was no sterling stamp so I assumed it had something to do with the alloy. I asked customer service because I wanted the warm tones of the patinaed brass. They informed me that it would, indeed begin to warm up as I wore it. Sure enough, after a few days it began to take on the warmer yellow hue of patinaed brass. Really, really good looking and wears very nicely on the pinky, though it would look good on any finger on which you chose to wear it.

Beautiful

Just got it from the mail. Good packaging, came earlier than expected. I was blown away with the quality. The ring has character. Wish I knew about Studebaker sooner instead of getting a big name jewelry brand. Looking forward to getting a cuff next. Awesome product!
